We’ve ringside seats to watch our friend Julia ‘The Pompey Princess’ Nicol who’s fighting Katy Hawkins on Saturday 13th October to raise money for Football For Cancer Boxing. We are really looking forward to watching¬†26 brave amateur contestants who are due to take part in 13 fighting bouts of three 2 minute rounds at the ROUND FOUR: Fighting for Cancer event, which is to held at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth. All the funds raised from this event will help local cancer charities. ¬†There’s a few tickets left for this event, head to the FFC Events page¬†on Facebook for details. You can donate to Julia’s Justgiving page here.
Good Luck Julia! We’ll be supporting you!
Football for Cancer was created in 2008, since then it has grown from a single football tournament, to a charity who run a whole lot of different sporting events and challenges that are close to raising £1,000,000  for local cancer charities and people.
The charity supports local families who are going through one of the toughest times in their lives. As a local charity they are able to act fast and can provide much needed funds via the Grant Scheme, sometimes in less than 24 hours. They  provide directly to families to try and alleviate the financial burden that coping with this disease can cause. They also make regular donations to local and national cancer charities working in our community.
